Craig's Creek

A few weeks ago we took our youth group to Craig's Creek for an overnight "camping" trip. 

This beautiful log house was the girls "camp". Ha ;-)

The kids had such a great time!!! Canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, swinging from a rope and fishing. Oh yeah, and making smores!

We can't wait to go back!!! We are so blessed to have these young people in our lives.

Caleb turns "10", WHAT!!!!

 

I cannot believe that my baby boy turned 10 years old!! I remember the first time I held him and looked at his sweet little face. I couldn't believe the Lord had blessed us with such a precious gift. At 10 years old he is still the sweetest, most caring and loving child I have ever met. He is a child of God, a lover of all Sports, makes everything he tries to do look easy, academically gifted and above all he is OURS!!!

We are so proud of him and thank God everyday for him. Can't wait to see where the Lord leads you!

Emily~Ready for 2nd grade

Well the Summer is over and the school year began on Monday! I can't believe that we now have a 2nd grader and a 4th grader. Our kids are growing up so fast and it makes us sad! They are both enjoying school so far and love their teachers. It's especially sad because this will be the last year we have a child at Christiansburg Primary School (K-2). We have had a child at that school for the last 6 years and it will be sad to leave all the wonderful teachers there. Emily will join Caleb at Christiansburg Elementary School (3-5) next year and it will be nice to have them both in the same place for a year before Caleb heads off to middle school. I could cry just thinking about him going to middle school. We love them both and are so proud of the wonderful kids they are.

15 years together!!!!

To Eric:
Yesterday we celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. I can't believe it has been that long. It seems like just yesterday we were standing in front of God and all our friends and family and vowing to spend our lives together. I am so thankful that God gave you to me. You are my husband, friend, secret keeper, father of our children, spiritual leader of our home and godly example to me. I am blessed beyond words and I love you more today than ever. You are the best and I can't wait to see what the years ahead hold for us. Forever and always I will love you.

Hi!

I'm still alive!!!! I have not had made time to blog in a VERY long time. Since Christmas we have been so busy. The kids are doing great. Caleb is playing baseball and his first game is this Thursday night. He has his first ever tournament on Saturday. He is SOOOO excited. This is his first year playing kids pitch so it is a whole different world. He has a wonderful coach who has taken 2 teams to the Little League World Series, wouldn't that be cool! Emily started taking piano about 3 months ago and is LOVING it. We don't have to tell her to practice because she is always playing on the piano. She is also wanting to start gymnastics but not sure where it will fit in our schedule, we may wait until Fall to start that. Anyway, Eric and I are doing good. Our church started the "Love Dare" bible study about 3 weeks ago. IT IS WONDERFUL!!! Our sweet friend (W.B.)www.busyblainefamily.blogspot.com are leading the study. He is doing a great job and everyone seems to really be enjoying it. Well, hopefully I will be able to keep up and not be so slack. Ha!
